Abstract
This thesis presents a web based Student Assessment Process Management System (SAPMS). SAPMS provides a secured, attractive, easy to use and quality based assessment system. It can be used in learning environment by large number of users beginning from students, teachers, parents, alumni, college administration until market’s companies, research centers and governmental agencies. Each type of those users can have specific use of the system and can access set of system processes under specific access rights based on his role in the system. These access rights can be assigned, reassigned or unassigned by system administrator at any time using a fixable, secured and fast proposed security system. This proposed security system is based on combining Role Based Access Control (RBAC) and Caching mechanism. SAPMS architecture and all components of the system are presented and the processes of each components and how they cooperate with each other to accomplish the mission of the system are illustrated. This system is completely analyzed and designed using Unified Modeling Language (UML). The implementation of the core components of the SAPMS which performs the most important processes in the system is presented and validation study is performed.
