Abstract
Cancer pain is one of the major problems in cancer patient .cancer pain may be due to direct infiltration of the nerve ending by the tumor itself or may be due to obstruction of the organ or may be due to substances secreted by the tumor to the systemic circulation leading to stimulation of systemic response including pain .cancer pain management start by good evaluation to the pain including character,intensity, radiation and severity. methods for management of cancer pain including oncological method like surgical removal of the tumor, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. medical treatment of cancer pain by morphine and other analogue is less effective. Operative and interventional techniques is so important such as nerve plexus block either surgical or interventional can be done for advanced abdominal malignancies such as pancreatic cancer and pelvic ,tumor like advanced rectal and bladder cancer and other malignancies in the head and neck and extremities . other interventional methods such as radiofrequency and cryotherapy play an important role in cancer pain management and can be done by many different techniques. also intrathecal analgesia can implantable drug delivery system is safe and effective method for cancer pain management .other supplementary method can be used such as acupuncture and massage and herbal medication .finally if you can relieve pain in cancer patient it is great work.
