Abstract

This study was planned to explore the variations that occur in some clinical and biochemical alternations in tying up syndrome in horses and donkeys , Investigate the clinical and laboratory variables associated with Exertional.rhabdomyolysis in equine , Study the response of selected parameters (-CK, AST, and LDH enzymes and some electrolytes such as Ca, K, Na, Cl, and P )associated with Exertional rhabdomyolysis , Evaluate the efficiency of the treatment protocol on clinical and .biochemical variables a total number of 90 horse and donkey of both sexes were used in this study. There was highly significant elevations in serum enzymes as asprtate amino transferase (AST), creatine kinase (CK), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), which high significant in tying up syndrome according table 2 and figures 1, 2and 3 the increase was(p>0.05) and The serum levels of sodium, calcium and chloride were be increased than normal limits in diseased cases and also there was hyper kalemia and hyper phosphatemia according table 3 and figures 4,5,6,7,and8. Regarding trials of specific treatment ,it was observed that fluid therapy is more important step in treatment which improved prognosis and prevnt dehydration and renal damage. Dipyron was important to decreased anxiety and pain ,at end flunixine meglumine as non steroidal anti inflammatory is more superior and active than other anti inflammatories such as phenyl butazone in treated animals.
