Abstract

The aim of the present work is to design and synthesize some new compounds incorporated coumarin moiety, which possesses considerable synthetic and pharmaceutical interest through utility of 3-acetyl-2H-benzopyran-2-one and its derivatives. Thus, we synthesized some hetrocyclic derivatives incorporated coumarin moiety such as bromoacetylcoumarin, aminothiazoles, pyrimidines, pyridopyrimidines, enaminones, quinolines, mercapto coumarines, pyrazolones, thiadiazines, pyrazolotriazines, benzofuran, imidazoles, cyanoacetamides, iminocoumarines, thiocarbamoyls and thioacetyl coumarins. The newly synthesized compounds were established by the elemental analyses and spectral data. Some of the prepared compounds were screened for their antioxidant, DNA-bleomycine damage and antitumor activities, in which some of them exhibited promising activities.
