Abstract The southern part of The Gulf of Suez lies along the tectonically active trend in Egypt. Hurghada telemetry seismic network (HSN) of ten seismic station high sensitivity has been operating from 1994 till now, providing data for the initial study of seismicity, magnitude problems, and attenuation of seismic waves. The network covers an area of about 150 km in N - S by 100 km in E- W in azone of concentrate seismic activity. Earthquake magnitude ranging from 1 to 4.5 are located within the network. |
