Abstract
The present work aims to evaluate the available water resources that could be used for irrigation. It is also, intended to study the morphopedological and different landform characteristics of the study area, which comprises the coastal belt of the Nile Delta between the two Nile branches (Damietta & Rosetta), and extends inland for about 50km. Illustrations and analysis of climatic records of the study area is treated herein to determine their effects on the hydrological conditions as well as irrigation water use.
