Abstract
Control of soil-borne pests with hsating induced by mulching soils with polyethylene sheeting during hot wea, ther is a new, inexpensive and nonhazardous control method. Heat treatment of 8011 by steam for the control the soil-borne fungi is not used one large scale for an economic considerations. The use of plastic materials to protect crops in tunnels or greenhouses or for 9011 mulching is very common in Israel (Katsn et el. 1976).
