Abstract

In view of the limited attention paid to Egyptian fresh - water mongeneans, it was decided to re - examine common fresh - water fishes of the Nile Delta water. During such a study of the Kharmout Clarias lazera, six separate species of monogenean parasites were recorded on the gills. three of these parasites were found to belong to the genus quadriacanthus ,two belonging to the genus gyrodactylus and only one species belong to the genus.
