Abstract The present study was conducted on a selected group of 69 patients (range of ages from 20-60 years old) with chronic bacterial prostatitis as well as 41 cases of apparent normal controls of comparable ages. Samples of urethral discharge, first voided urine midstream urine (VB2), expressed prostatic fluid (PF), massage urine (VB3) and seminal fluid (SF) were subjected to Microscopical Exam., Biochemical investigations and Bacteriological localization cultures, studies. Microscopical examination of expressed prostatic secretions and self expressed seminal fluid, revealed that 100 and 81.2% of ’samples, respectively, had more than 10 WBC(s)/HPF, Furthermore,. 78.5% of PF samples had more than 20 WBC(.s)/HPF, ’whereas, 18.3% ;of ejaculate samples had IPSS than 10 WBC(s)/HPF. Moreover, clumps or white blood cells, mucus debris Lecithin bodies and or lipid-laden macrophages were also, detected. |
