Abstract PPR was recorded for the first time in both sheep and goats in upper Egypt through clinical and serological diagnosis.The history epidemiology clinical symptoms and P.M.picture were studied in addition to serological survey for the detection of specific antibodies against PPR virus in quena. Sohag and Assiut governorates using serum neutralization test (SNT), enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and agar gel precipitation test (AGPT). 658 sheep and 622 goat serum samples were collected from the selected governorates and tested for the presence of specific antibodies against both PPR and RP viruses by SNT; and for the presence of specific antibodies against PPR virus only, using ELISA and AGPT. |
