Abstract The present study was done on some plants extract, synthetic chemicals as well as biological agents, to investigate their antiviral activity against FMD.V either in vitro (BHK) or in vivo (Laboratory and large animals). In vitro screening, revealed that plants extract showed that, Allium sativum (garlic) was induced the highest log. reduction of FMD.V (4.75 log.). Meanwhile, other plants extract exerted various level of log. reduction viz, Allium capa (w) 3.25 log., Lawsonia inermis (A) 3 log., Acacia Arabica (w) and (A) 2.0 log., and 2.75log., rsepectively; Clycyrrhizia glabra (A) and Allium sativum oily (2.5 log.); Ammi visnaga (A) 2 log.; Citrallus colocynthis (A) 1.25 log.; Majorna hortenesis oily (1.0 log.); Lupinus termis (A) and Eucolyptus globolas oily (0.75 log.); Eugenia caryophyllus (A) and (O); Plants mixture (A); Punica granatum (W); Morus alba (W) and Ocmium basillcum (O) caused (0.5 log.) and Peganum harm la (w) 0.25 log. |
