Abstract
In this thesis, we have studied the spatial distribution of earthquakes, fault plane solutions and seismic hazard assessment to demonstrate the seismotectonic activity and probabilities of earthquakes in turkey. The study of seismicity and earthquake focal mechanisms yields an estimate of the seismic hazard in a region, also, it provides information on the stress distribution whithin the plates and constants on the constants on the causes of interplate seismicity.
