Abstract
The present study is an endeavor to find out the optimum conditions for uricase production by some fungi isolated from poultry wastes. Special emphasis were lid upon the purification of the enzyme and determination of its physico-chemical properties. Six genera were isolated from poultry manure from Dakahlya Governorate. The isolates were identified as Rhizopus nigricans, Mucor spinosus, Penicillium chrysogenum, Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus terreus, Aspergillus fumigatus, Aspergillus niger, Alternaria sp., and Trichoderma sp.
