Abstract

The aim of the present ork is to study the possible role dutorphanol in induction of deleterious effect. Also to evaluate if ascorbic acid has a curative effect towards the deleterious ef-fect of chronic butorphanol administration. Male swiss albino mice were used as experimental animals. Biochemical and histopathological studies have been carried out. The groups of mice under investigation were classified ac-cording to the type of treatment as follows : 1. Control group. 2. Ascorbic acid treated group. 3. Butorphanol treated group. 4. Butorphanol and ascorbic acid treated group.
