Abstract
An adaptive filter is, in some sense, a self designing (really self_optimising) filter . adaptive filters have been used widely in the field of automatic modeling, linear prediction, noise filtering, pattern recognition, adaptive antenna and channel equalisation. This thesis is a study of linear prediction in the analyeis of its discrete signals.
