Abstract

The material of the present study of included 38 diabetic coritrol subjects. Out of the 38 diabetic patients. 20 are males and 18 patients are females. The age ranged from 35-55 years mean 43008 +- 4.85 years.The known duration of the daabetic state ranged from few days up to 12 years. No sign of diabetic autonomic neuropathy of the heart were present in any of the diabetics under investIgations depending on the response to Valsalva manoeuvre. Non of them had other endocrinopathies or metabolic disease. The blood pressure of all patients was wirllin the normal range. Non of the selected diabetic patients had cardiac arrhythiamla. clinical examination of the diabetics under investigations revealed no abnormalities. Radiological as well as electrocardiographic Examination was within the normal range. dialogical Diabetic under investigations had received glibenclamide in dose of one tablet daily for a duretion ranged form one month to twelve years. On the other hand, with prolongation of the diabetic state negative inotropism was found. Again, with increased severity of diabetes negative inotropism was also found. Prolongation of LESS THAN 5 YEARS DURATION ventricular Pre-ejection period ”PEPi” and shortening of left venticular ejection time” LVETi” were found in our study.
