Abstract
Our life is tremendous1y influenced by the existence activities of microorganisms present in the enviroment. vagina is a luxurious enviroment for many microoeither indigenous or microbial flora. The vagna defence system against ascending infection. It has an immune fuction which is an immune function which is detected by the presence of immunoglobulins (IgA,IgG) in the vaginal fluid. The vaginal epithelium is a smooth unbroken surface so there are no crypts where microorganisms can comfortably multiply. Also a low vaginal, acidity inhibit the growth of most path ogenic organisms. The vaginal defences are imperfect during childhood and after menpause, in pregnancy, during menstruation, after abortion or la.our and in endocervicitis. In this study we through light on the indigenous vaginal flora. It is a mixture of many different microorgan- isms which are in dunamic situation. This variation is dependen t largely upon the ovarian ativity. This indigenous flora includes many types of bacteria, candida, viruses.
