Abstract Flotation method is used as fast, easy and cheap separation preconcentration technique. This method depends on using of organic reagents have the ability to form stable complexes with the analytes then the separation process were carried out by oleic acid as a surface active agent. Some of thiosemicarbazide and thiosemicarbazone derivatives are used as collectors to form stable complexes with selenium(IV), scandium(III), cobalt(II), nickel(II), copper(II) and zinc(II). The optimum conditions of separation process are studied and the behavior of the aqueous and scum complexes was elucidated by elemental analysis, spectroscopic (UVVis, infrared) spectra, thermal analysis (TG, DTG). |
