Abstract
The maternal behaviour in five selected pregnant Jenny asses was studied. the most observable behavioural traits which occur during the pre-parturient period were overactivity, Restlessness, discomfort, pawing the ground with the fore feet, licking, vocalization, flanking, profuse sweating of the hind quarter of the animal and flehmen response.
