Abstract
The flow of an incompressible viscous fluid between two concentric spheres under the action of a transverse oscillation of the inner sphere is analysed. Because of the non - linearity of the intertia term in Navier - Stokes equation, it is suitable to use the perturbation method with the dimensionless amplitude ε= λ/a as asmall parameter.
