Abstract
The characterististic method has been used to transform the energy - space - angular Boltzman integro - differential equation into integral equation of Fredholm type in cylindrical geometry. The method provides us with a transformation of co - ordinates by which the cylindrical equation is transformed into one like plane equation. Existence, positivity, boundness, continuity and summability properties of the soluation of the Fredholm integral type are investigated in the space of continous functions.
