Abstract This study was done to demonstrate histological and bioavilability evaluation of the use of phonophoretically driven diclofenac sodium in the treatment of traumatic arthritis of the tempromandibular joint. Materials and methods: Twenty six adult white Newzeland rabbits of average weight 3 - 3.4 kg, were divided into control group, the untreated group and the treated group as followed: A) Group I (Control group ):- B) Experimental groups:Group II ( The untreated group ):- The rabbits exposed only to trauma. This group is divided into another subgroups as: Subgroup A: represent the pressure side. Subgroup B: represent the tension side. Group III ( Treated groups ):- Subgroup (a) (Drug treated pressure side ):- Subjected to the topical application of the gel on rightipromandibular joint positions. |
