Abstract
The aim of the present study was to evaluate evaluate function abnormalities after injection sclerotherapy and to correlate these abnormalities with different clinical and hemodynamic variables of the syndrome of schistosomal hepatic fibrosis. The material of the present study comprised 40 patients admitted University Hospital with upper gastrointestinal bleeding due to rupture oesophageal varices. all patients were subjected to the following through history taking,full clinical examination and the following investigation before and after yariceal sclerotherapy ,urine and stool analysis, complete blood picture, liver function tests, kidney function test, . plain X-ray chest, echo-Doppler assessment.(1) Pulmonary hypertension subgroup (10) (11) Pulmonary normotensive subgroup (30).
