Abstract
The present study was performed for the purpose of evaluation of deep .sclerectomy in primary open angle glaucoma in a mid-term study. The study was carried out on 65 eyes (40 patients) with primary open angle glaucoma, 5 eyes had a perforation of the tr<;1.beculodescemetic membrane and were excluded from the study. They were selected , . randomly from patients attending the Opthalmic outpatient clinics of Mausoura Ophthalmic Center aiming to evaluate three methods of deep sclcrctorny in a midterm study. The patients were classetied into three group Group (A): included 20 eyes which were, subjected to deep sclerectomy alone Group (B): included 20 eyes which were subjected to deep sclerectomy with a rcteicu lated cross linked sodium hyaluronate (SK gel®). Group (C): included 20 eyes which were subjected to deep sclei.ectomy with intraoperative 5- Fu.
