Abstract Development a new method of imaging the anterior segment of the eye using high frequency ultrasound, that allow structural details of the angle, iris, ciliary body, zonules and posterior chamber to be visualized and measured at microscopic resolution in living patients, is of great value in ophthalmology. Our study aims to evaluate the anterior segment parameters of eye with primary angle closure glaucoma and the underlying mechanism of secondary angle closure glaucoma, in this study 86 patients from the out patients clinic of Ophthalmology Center Mansoura University, all of them were subjected to ophthamological examination including visual acuity, slit-lamp, gonioscopic examination to the angle of anterior chamber, ophthamological examination to the fundus, the patients were classified into three major groups group I:- Control group. group II- Patients with primary angle closure glaucoma with its clinical types. group (IIJ1).
