Abstract
Breast cancer is one of the most significant health threats to women in the world. The history of breast cancer is rich and interesting~ it dates 3000 B.C at the time of ancient Egyptians. It is that cancer that has given rise to the largest , number of articles in medical history. Allover the world and because of high mortality rate from cancer breast that has been estimated to be 20-30% in USA. In UK 12000 woman die from breast cancer every year. In Egypt, breast cancer constitutes 20.5% of total malignancies. So, a growing number of prospective studies and retrospective studies are done to reach a diagnosis for cancer breast before reaching to be a clinically palpable mass even before .detection by mammography. .Some prospective studies .were done to evaluate the role of scintimammography in comparison to other imaging techniques.
