Abstract
The present study was performed to evaluate the role of OCT in the ly diagnosis of POAG and to compare its efficacy with visual field suits. Also to provide a normative database of NFL thickness in normal One hundred and forty one eyes of 92 subjects were included in the resent study. Eyes were classified into 3 groups: I. The Glaucoma group II. The Risky group III. The control group he three groups were subjected to: Thorough history taking Measurement of the best corrected visual acuity L Slit lamp examination of the anterior segment Refraction . Direct and indirect ophthalmoscopy . lOP measurement - Fundus examination with Goldmann 3-mirror contact lens - Gonioscopy - Measurement of the axial length of the eye - Perimetry . OCT - Coloured Fundus photography and NFL photography for selected cases. NFL thickness measurements with OCT were reproducible in all groups vith standard deviation of measurements of(6.5-11 micron)for quadrants .
