Abstract
Pregnancy and labour are physiological process which proceeds normally without the need of interfer¬ence in the majority of cases. However pregnancy out- come is influenced by so many factors. These may be I socioeconomic , biological or medical factors. The presence of one or more of these factors make the pre¬gnancy a high-risk one and thus require a special mana- gement • This studY was carried out to find out the effect of some of these factors on the outcome of pregna~t Being a general hospital , the majority of cases were of the low socioeconomic • illiterate and unemplo- yed mothers. The cases showed different degrees of age and parity. Also a wide variety of medical and obstetric complicat- ions were encountered among the cases.
