Abstract

Infertility is a complex life crisis that profound emotional stress on the individual and the couple, and social stresses with family friends and colleagues. Infertility accounts for 10-15% of married couples the female partner represents 50% of this incidence. The uterine cervix acts as a biologic valve allowing variable entry of spermatozoa to the uterus at certain periods during the reproductive cycle. Thus understanding the normal structure and function of the cervix results in rational and effective diagnosis and treatment of the cervical causes of most of the functions of the cervix are affected by the secretion of the endocervical gland forming the cervical mucus.
