Abstract I was aimed in this work to evaluate the effect of long acting furosamide, apironolactone and athaorynic acid seperatelY, on the lipid pattern in female insulin - dependent diabetio hypertensive patients. The material of this study comprised 57 female daibetic (insulin dependent) hypertensive patients, who were divided into 3 groups. The first group recieving long acting furosemide, the seoond gtoUP recieving spironolactone and the third group reoiaving ethaorynic acid. The studied cases were subjected to thorough clinical examination and laboratory investigations including post prandial blood augar, serum total lipids, serum triglycerides, serum cholesterol and serum phoa. pholipids. These investigations were performed before, one week, three weeks, four weeks and eight weeks after adminiatration of the diuretio hypotensive agents given. |
