Abstract The present study include 42 premenopausal hirsute women divided in two groups. group with the diagnosis of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) (21 patients): a) Obese PCOS (11 patients). b)Non obese PCOS (10 patients). 2-group with the diagnosis of idiopathic hirsutism (IH) (21 patients): a) Obese IH (10 patients). b) Non obese IH (11 patients). In addition there is a control group (18 patients) non hirsute: a) Obese control (9 patients). b) Non obese control (9 patients). The patients and control were selected after exclusion of others with diabetes, hypertension, dishing syndrome, cigarette smoking and thyroid disorders. Pregnant ladies were also excluded. All subjects were subjected to through history taking and clinical examination with special stress on: * Hirsutism. * Menstruation. |
