Abstract Aim of the work : The aim of the present study is to reevaluate the incidence of Idifferent aspects of cardiac involve¬ment especially left ventricular performance that can be identified by diagnostic ultrasound in patients with rheumatoid arthritis without manifest cardiac disease and to correlate these echocardiographic findings with the clinical and laboratory features of the diseaseo Summary of the work :The material of the present study comprised 50 patients with rheumatoid arthritis as a test group, 6 males and 44 females with age ranging from 16-55 years (mean 41 years). A control group (24) of age matched healthy subjects was also examined. Cases were selected from out-patient clinic of physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Mansoura university Hospital. |
