Abstract
The aim of this work was to study the effect of streptokinase therapy on some renal function both glomerular in patients with uncomplicated AMI admitted to Mansoura Emergency Hospital. The study comprised 30 patients admitted to CCU in Mansoura Emergency Hospital (25 were male & 5 were female) with an age range (54+ 1.7). The patients were divided into 2 groups:- Group A (test group): 15 patients with AMI receiving streptokinase therapy. Group B (control group): 15 patients with AMI not receiving SK due to presence of contraindication to thrombolysis. All patients were subjected to:- Through history taking & full clinical examination and the following investigations> a- Standard l2-lead E.C.G. b- Plain x-ray. c- 2-D & Msmode echocardiogram. d- Full laboratory investigations with special evaluation of cardiac enzymes (CPK, LDH) & renal functions (urine analysis, S.creatinine, creatinine clearance, serum & urinary B2- microglobulin & tnicroalbUlnin).
