Abstract
Some workers reported familial tendency among pity riasis versicolor patients . However, a definite mode of inheritance has not been reported • For this pur¬pose we planned to study the role of inheritance in this disease • In this study 300 patients with pityriasis versi¬color were subjected to the following : !• Detailed structured questionaire • 2. Clinical study • 3« Pedigree construction • 4» Genetic analysis • a* Segregation analysis • b» Consanguinity analysis • ABO blood grouping and Rh factor determination • The collected data indicated familial recurrence in of the studied casea Pedigrees analysis showed that there is a genetic tendency in pftyriasis versicolor • So, the obtained data were tested by different mathematical methods and were found to be inconsistent with any of the monogenic
