Abstract

The present study was conducted to evaluate the presence of xanthelasma as a single skin sign-not associated with tho one is dealing with purely localized and relatively unimportant skin condition which was formerly regarded as cosmetic defect or with a skin manifestation associating selective biochemical changes and or electrocardiographic changes points to futureskin lesions of other xanthomsta to determine whether or not development of some diseases threatening longevity and life.4 males and 30 females ) with age ranging from 20-to 60 years, and 12 patients without xanthelasma ( 3 males and 9 females ) with age ranging from 18 to 65 years The 34 patients with xanthelasma were classified into :- Group with uncomplicated xanthelasma ( 14 patients all were females )_with age ranging from 20 to 52 years, The present study comprised 34 patients with xanthelasma ( 4 males and 30 females ) with age ranging from 20-to 60 years, and 12 patients without xanthelasma ( 3 males and 9 females ) with age ranging from 18 to 65 years . The 34 patients with xanthelasma were classified into :- Group with uncomplicated xanthelasma ( 14 patients all were females )_with age ranging from 20 to 52 years, Group with complicated xanthelasma : 6 of them were diabetics t 7 manifested ischemic heart disease clinically and electrocardiographically and 6 patients showed’’ischemic E.C.G. changes without cl-inica1ly demonstrable ischemic heart disease and one patient was hypertensive and electrocardiographically and 6 patients showed’’ischemic E.C.G. changes without cl-inica1ly demonstrable ischemic heart disease and one patient was hypertensive and electrocardiographically and 6 patients showed’’ischemic E.C.G. changes without cl-inica1ly demonstrable ischemic heart disease and one patient was hypertensive and electrocardiographically and 6 patients showed’’ischemic E.C.G. changes without cl-inica1ly demonstrable ischemic heart disease and one patient was hypertensive and electrocardiographically and 6 patients showed’’ischemic E.C.G. changes without cl-inica1ly demonstrable ischemic heart disease and one patient was hypertensive and electrocardiographically and 6 patients showed’’ischemic E.C.G. changes without cl-inica1ly demonstrable ischemic heart disease and one patient was hypertensive and electrocardiographically and 6 patients showed’’ischemic E.C.G. changes without cl-inica1ly demonstrable ischemic heart disease and one patient was hypertensive and electrocardiographically and 6 patients showed’’ischemic E.C.G. changes without cl-inica1ly demonstrable ischemic heart disease and one patient was hypertensive and electrocardiographically and 6 patients showed’’ischemic E.C.G. changes without cl-inica1ly demonstrable ischemic heart disease and one patient was hypertensive and electrocardiographically and 6 patients showed’’ischemic E.C.G. changes without cl-inica1ly demonstrable ischemic heart disease and one patient was hypertensive and electrocardiographically and 6 patients showed’’ischemic E.C.G. changes without cl-inica1ly demonstrable ischemic heart disease and one patient was hypertensive The 12 patients wit4put manthelasma included 5’’’.kiypertensive patients and one patient with ischemic heArt disease Athorough history taking and clinical examination were done to all patients together with investigations including:
