Abstract

This study was to compare non-invasive versus invasive pressure for 24 atients subjected for radical cystectomy. AI1 patients where premedicated by 10 mg diazepam orally night before and at morning of surgery and 6 midazolam IN. before induction. They were classif ied into 2 groups, each 12 patients, group (epidural (epidural and group II (general)Epidural analgesia was carried out by 8 ml (O 5%) buPivacaine mixed with 4 ml (2%) lidocaine and 2 mg morphine Induction of all patients was by thiopentone sodium mixed with atropine followed suxamethonium by and intubation, maintenance was achieved by controlled ventillation with muscle relaxant, nitrous oxide, oxygen and balothane the parameters used for assessment patients ancludes. Blood pressure (S ,D , M.) was measured invasively and non-invasively by Hewlett Packard monitor, pre-induction,induction, 15 min, 30 min, 45 min, one hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, 4 hours, 5 hours after induction, at recovery and one hour after recovery. Pulse rate, central venous pressure and oxygen saturation were measured also by Hewlett Packard monitor at the intervals as blood pressure but Induction time replaced by one minute after induction.end tidal carbon dioxide was measured by Datex monitor variety where measurements began one minute after induction and tracheal intubation.
