The purpose of the study is to identify learning problems that impede the progress of primary school students in learning English as a foreign language( EFL) ,Construct a test that identifies problems of learning EFL for 5th grade primary school students, determine the effect of a remedial task analysis based program in solving problems of learning EFL for 5th grade primary school students, find out the effect size of the program in remedying problems of learning EFL and to find out the effect size of the program in increasing motivation towards learning EFL for 5th grade primary school students . The study sample consisted of 101 students in fifth grade ,the sample was divided into 2 groups a control group (51) and an experimental group (50)throw applying the tools - teachers questionnaire for the most common problems, scale of English language learning problems for teachers of primary stage, diagnostic test, achievement test , motivation scale and a remedial program based on task analysis - the most spreading English language learning problems in primary school student are using incorrect form of verbs, inability to use the suitable auxiliary with different pronouns and tenses , neglect using punctuation and capital letters , inability to remember silent letters in some words.The results of the study shows that ; there is statistically significant difference between the mean score of experimental group and that of the control group in the post academic achievement test in English language in favor of the experimental group ,but there is no statistically significant difference between the mean score of experimental group and that of the control group in the post motivation scale.
