Abstract
The first chapter, a literature survey on transition metal complexes of the following: Thiosemicarbazide, hydrazone Oxime, hydrazone derived from pyridine and hydrazones derived from O.hydroxy acetophenone. The second chapter, the procedures of the preparation of the ligands (H2BTPT), H2BTET), (H2BMBT), (HAZPBT), (HA2PBT) and (H2OHABT) and their metal complexes were described. The third chapter, the results via IR and HNMR spectral studies. Electrical conductance of solutions of Cu(II), Ni(II) and Co(II) chlorides and H2BTPT, H2BTET, H2BMBT, HA2PBT, HA4PBT and H2OHABT and mixture of two different molar ratios were measured at various molar concentration. The antimicrobial activity of the ligands under investigation and their metal complexes have been evaluated. The compounds exhibit antibacterial activity against Bacillus subtillus and Echirichia Col.
