Abstract CT angiography emerges as a powerful minimally invasive ternative to conventional angiography for identifying aorto-itfac d femoro-popliteal aneurysms, stenoses, occlusions, and issections. It has been particularly successful in imaging patients lth aorto-iliac and fern oro-popliteal aneurysms. The millimally of the method, short examination time, and capability of three dimerisional depiction of arteries, all make it anattractive alternative. CCDr determines not only the presence but also the location most importantly the hemodynamic significance of vascular. disease. It is a simple, cheap, and completely non-invasive method. This work aimed to evaluate the role of CT angiography and color coded duplex imaging as two non invasive techniques in the assessment of different aorto-iliac and femoro-popliteal diseases. This, study includles 50 patients . For tymaiesand 10 females, their ages ranged between 18 and 70 years with mean age (44 y), they were examined in Mansoura University & Ernergency Hospitals, during the period from May 999 to April 2002. All the patients were subjected to CT angiography and CCDI, 28 out of them underwent conventional catheter angiography and . operative finelings. were obtained in 12 patients. |
