Abstract
The studies carried on in this work can be divided into two main categories : semi-quantitative methods for the determination of gold and its pathfinders (Bi, Sb, As, Ag, Cu and Pb) in thirty samples from fawkhir gold mines. from the results of analysis Bi, Sb, As, Ag, Cu and Pb were found to be positively correlated with golg. infrared absorption spectrophotometric studies on the altered granodiorites asscociated with gold mineralization at fawakhir gold mine revealed that, the ratio of absorbances of C-O vibration absorption band of carbonates .
