Abstract
Silybum marianum (L.) Gaertn. is one of the wild Composite plants, growing in Mansoura District. The macro-, micromorphology, duration and geographical distribution of the plant was studied. Air temperature, relative humidity, wind velocity, evaporation and rainfall were effective and governing the distribution and growth of the plant. Soil analysis revealed that soil texture supporting the plant ranged between sandy loam, sandy clay loam and light clay.
