Abstract
The reaction of equimolecular amounts of acetoacetic ester and iodoanilines in dry xylene gave acetoacetarylamides which have the structure. Coupling of each the above acetoacetarylamides with arene diazonium ion in 1:1 initial molar ratio in the presence of a week base, yields thirty of arylazo gyes which were yellow to reddish organic in colour.
