The current study aimed to identify the relationship between occupational stress coping styles, emotional intelligence, and psychological hardiness of secondary school teachers in both general and technical education streams. It also aimed to identify the differences between general and technical secondary school teachers in the study variables. Furthermore, the study aimed to predict occupational stress coping styles based on the level of emotional intelligence and psychological hardiness. The study sample consisted of 132 male and female teachers (70 general secondary school teachers and 62 technical secondary school teachers). The study tools, prepared by the researcher, were applied including Occupational Stress Coping Styles scale, Emotional Intelligence scale, and Psychological Hardiness scale. The results showed a statistically significant relationship between most of the occupational stress coping styles and emotional intelligence of secondary school teachers. In addition, there was a statistically significant relationship between most of the occupational stress coping styles and psychological hardiness of secondary school teachers. There was also a statistically significant positive relationship between emotional intelligence and psychological hardiness of secondary school teachers. The study also revealed no gender differences in either general or technical secondary education in the three study variables. There were differences between general secondary school teachers and technical secondary school teachers in the problem-solving focus and acceptance of responsibility styles in favor of technical secondary school teachers and in the withdrawal behavior and the total score of negative styles in favor of general secondary school teachers. The study did not reveal any differences between general and technical secondary school teachers in the level of emotional intelligence and psychological hardiness. Finally, the findings of the study affirmed the possibility of predicting occupational stress coping styles based on emotional Intelligence.
