Abstract Summary ” Optimization of the Industrial Wastewater and Sewage as a Resource of Water ” This thesis contains four main chapters: introduction, past studies, laboratory experiments and measurements results, and their discussion: Chapter 1-Introduction This section includes a presentation of the concept of pollution and its divisions, then talk about water pollution and the impact of this pollution on human health and the source of this pollution, then talk about heavy metal pollution and its sources and its impact on the various activities of man and finally talk about the fate of heavy metals within the environment. The chapter also dealt with the necessity of removing heavy metals and examples of the materials used to remove these metals and the reasons for choosing these materials. The aim of the study through use of a cheap, environmentally friendly material that does not cause a new source of pollution in the manufacture of zeolite and its use in removing heavy metals. There is a special talk about zeolite in terms of its definition and characteristics, specifically the characteristics that distinguish it in removal of heavy metals, and also the section is presented to talk about the synthetic zeolite and the method of manufacture and the use of waste in the manufacture of zeolite and at the conclusion of the section dealt with the talk about heavy metals in terms of definition, properties and methods , removal of heavy metals by traditional methods such as sedimentation, absorption, ion exchange, etc.,. Chapter 2-Experimental This chapter dealt with the most important studies and previous research on the subject of the study, as it presented the removal of heavy elements and the purification of drinking water and sewage from them, as well as the different ways to remove these |
