Abstract
The research prsented in this thesis was desgned to 1)study the variability among five inbread lines of corn and its crosses using morphological and biochemical methods of assessment to furnish standard uniform and definitive information of characteristics of genotypes 2)estimate of combining ability effects for five inbred lines and identify type of gene action controlling the inheritance for studied traits 3)identify superior crossesand inbred lines to improve the yielding abilty in maize breeding programs .this study was carried out at the experiments station of the faculty of agriculture mansoura university during 2019 and 2020 summer season.
