Abstract Fenugreek, garden cress, and flax warrant focused attention by researchers to enhance their value and products. The present study investigates how different gamma irradiation doses (25, 50, 75, 100, and 200 Gy) influence growth, yield, photosynthetic pigments, biochemical parameters and ISSR and SCoT DNA fingerprinting polymorphisms. Irradiated and unirradiated seeds were grown in the field for two successive seasons. Results revealed that the 75 Gy dose exhibited a stimulatory influence in fenugreek and garden cress, the dose of 50 Gy was the most effective in flax, whereas the 200 Gy dose exhibited an inhibitory influence in the three plants. |
