Abstract
Consumers in Egypt care about their health as locally grown fruits and vegetables contain pesticide residues. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the degree of pesticide contamination in some commonly eaten local horticultural crops, including tomatoes, onions, potatoes, spinach, peppers, apples, strawberries, watermelon, peaches, and lemons in Gharbia Governorate. A total of 315 samples including 175 vegetables and 140 fruits were analyzed using the QuEChERS method followed by GC-MS/MS and LC-MS/MS
analysis.
