Abstract
Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is currently one of the leading causes of mortality and morbidity globally, it includes deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and its potential complications that may arise, such as pulmonary embolism (PE) and postthrombotic syndrome (PTS) (Xu et al., 2021). Postoperative venous thromboembolism (VTE) is a serious risk for patients undergoing major orthopedic surgery, such as total knee replacement, total hip replacement, or hip fracture (Khalid et al.,2021).
