In light of the above, a review of the characteristics of the study of Aquaculture in the northern Nile Delta governorates, its relationship with the land, water bodies, climatic conditions, morphological characteristics, the extent of its impact on the volume of fish production, transportation and marketing, and identification of the most important problems and means of its development, this study consisted of four chapters, preceded by an introduction. It is followed by a conclusion, as follows: The first chapter: Discussing the geographical factors affecting Aquaculture in the governorates of the northern Nile Delta, trying to clarify the location of Aquaculture and what are the most important factors affecting fish production. Land resources are also considered the most determining elements for fish farming, and this depends on the properties of the water required to be available in Aquaculture. This is important. Soil is the basis on which fish farms are built, and climatic characteristics are of great importance. Climate is one of the factors that influence farm production. Temperature also plays a role in determining the types of fish that are cultured. Seed is one of the main elements in the development of fish farming projects, and nutrition is one of the important factors for fish production from fish farms. Fish food in fish farms is divided into two types: Natural food and industrial food. There is no doubt about the role of human labor in the success of Aquaculture projects. This field requires trained workers with sufficient experience. Chapter Two: Discussing the types of fish farming, their development and distribution in the governorates of the northern Nile Delta in order to highlight the Aquaculture systems followed in the fish farms in the study area, which are represented by semi-intensive “mixed” farming, which is prevalent in government fish farms, while intensive farming is followed in some private farms. In the study area, the types of Aquaculture vary in the study area. It is divided into several types: government farms, private farms, floating cage farms, and rice field farms. The third chapter: dealt with the marketing of fish production from fish farms in the northern Nile Delta governorates, which focused on knowing the most important marketing systems in fish farms, which are the stages of the process of delivering fish from the producer to the final consumer. It was also concerned with studying the marketing of fish production according to the types of farms and marketing according to the quantities of production and Marketing according to fish types. I am interested in studying the costs of the marketing stages of produced fish, starting with the sorting, grading, packing, transportation, storage, preservation, commissions, and brokerage stages. I am interested in studying the most important methods by which fish are transported to be marketed outside their production area. Chapter Four: Discuss the problems of fish farming and production development. There are many problems that reduce fish production from fish farms in the study area, which can be generally classified into several problems, which are summarized in environmental problems, social problems, administrative problems, health problems, and problems related to fishing workers. The most important development methods for promoting fish wealth in fish farms were studied. To improve fish wealth, it is necessary to overcome and eliminate the causes that hinder fish production in fish farms.
Finally: the conclusion of the study, which included the most important results and recommendations reached by the researcher
