Abstract CKD patients are sharing three main risk factors of diabetic foot ulceration and amputation: neuropathy, peripheral arterial disease and increased susceptibility to infection with impaired wound healing, so the incidence of diabetic foot disorder in diabetic CKD patients is higher and outcomes are generally poorer than diabetic non-CKD patients. The current study includes a total of 70 patients (35 diabetic CKD patients and 35 diabetic non-CKD patients). The aim of this study is to detect different types of foot abnormalities in both diabetic non-CKD patients and diabetic CKD patients and to assess factors that may aggravate foot abnormalities in diabetic CKD patients by measuring serum calcium, phosphorus, potassium, parathyroid hormone, albumin, uric acid, hemoglobin level, urinary albumin to creatinine ratio. |
